If you love coffee, and want to learn how it is grown, harvested and roasted, visit Heavenly. We signed up for the coffee production tour. Got there a few minutes... read more early and was offered some sample cups of coffee. There was a welcome station and the coffee employees were very friendly. We really liked out tour guide Rick - who is very passionate about coffee. Nice year to spend a few hours. Get there early - especially in the afternoon as parking is tight and there is a windy road to get up there.

Townsend started our tour with some samples of the coffee that were set out by the pool for everyone to try. As he talked about the farm, we enjoyed the freshly brewed coffee and the views. Walking around the farm, Townsend explained the coffee growing process and demonstrated how they dry the coffee. After our tour, we stopped by the gift shop and did a little shopping as well as ordered a coffee, from the coffee shop. We sat by the pool and enjoyed the view for at least an hour after our tour. If you are visiting the Big Island of Hawaii and are on the Kona side, visiting Heavenly Hawaiian is a must see. If you live on the Big Island, as I do, and have not visited the farm, it also is a must see! You will not regret it. Be sure to ask for Townsend to be your guide. He is so knowledgeable, kind, friendly, and funny and makes this a 5-Star tour for sure!! The entire staff was outstanding, as we met a lot of them and everyone was enjoying themselves as they were working about the farm operation. This was a FUN tour! Do it!!
